Who we are

Rehoboth Mining Company (RMC) LTD, is Malawian multinational company legally registered in accordance with the provision of the business registration Act (No. 12 of 2012) of Malawi, operating under BRN-3OTE3Y7.

Our Mission Statement is that we exist to discover and extract minerals of all kinds for the prosperity of societies in Malawi and beyond. Our Vision Statement is to be a recognized national and global player in the mining sector.

History

The company was founded, and established in 2023 by Mr Misheck Huxley Bushiri and it is governed by the Board of Directors with vast experience in different professional backgrounds relating to mining. The Company and the team believes in multi-sectoral approach in its drive to explore, discover and extract mineral resources for the prosperity of the societies in Malawi and beyond.

Apart from direct investment in the mining activities, the company also purchases a variety of minerals from different local miners across the country. Currently, the company has operating sites in Mzimba, Chitipa, Ntcheu and Zomba and it is dealing with the following minerals among others: amethyst, aquamarine, emerald, ruby, sapphire, gold and sodalite.

Our Board of Directors

Is the founder and Chairperson of REHOBOTH Mining Company. He holds Master of Science in Molecular Genetics/Breeding (Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources), Bachelor of Science in Horticulture (University of Malawi, Bunda College of Agriculture, now called LUANAR, Diploma in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (Natural Resources College, now Under LUANAR) and currently studying PhD in Biotechnology (Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources).

He has vast experience having worked as an Agricultural Research Scientist in the Department of Agricultural Service (DARS) for 18 years; worked as a consultant on biotechnology, virology and horticulture; worked as a hired lecturer at the Natural Resources College for four years, and now works as a lecturer at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources in Biotechnology and Horticulture Departments. Further, he works as the International Executive Director of Enlightened Christian Gathering-The Jesus Nation Church International and owns businesses in consultancies, mining, farming, petroleum, supplies and commodities.

Holds a PhD in Theology and Ministry from El Shaddai Step Up University, USA and has vast experience in Human Resource and Administration Management with over 25 years of experience. He is currently the Director of Administration, Deployment, Discipline and Appeals at ECG International – The Jesus Nation Church.

Is a seasoned Environmental Scientist and a member of Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP) in Malawi. He holds a Master of Science in Environment Science and Bachelor of Education Science Majoring in Environmental Science and Rural Development, all from University of Malawi, Chancellor College, Zomba, Malawi. Currently, he is the Environmental Safeguards Specialist at Southern Africa Trade and Connectivity Project (SATCP) under Ministry of Transport and Public Works.

Is a Legal Practitioner and a member of Malawi Law Society. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree obtained from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College in 2015 and currently pursuing a Masters Degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Salford, Manchester, UK.

He has 8 years of legal practice experience having worked as a Partner Whyte and Cross Lawyers - a legal firm; and recently served at Power Market Limited as Senior Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Manager and later as the Director of Legal Services and Company Secretary. His main areas of focus are Company Secretariat duties, legal, regulatory and compliance, drafting of legal documents which include and not limited to leases, transfer of leases, conveyancing, loan agreements, franchise and agency agreements.

Willie Kalonga, (BA (Public Administration) (Mlw), Master of Policy Studies (UZ, Fort Hare) Master of Business Administration (ESAMI) is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Goshen Trust, a private business with interests in Agriculture, International Trade and Tourism, Investments, Publishing, and marine industries. Willie has previously held senior positions both in the Public and private sectors. He once served as Director of Electoral Services, Deputy Chief Elections Officer, and Chief Elections Officer with the Malawi electoral Commission. He also served as Senior Lecturer in political Science with the Malawi Catholic University.

Is a legal practitioner with an LLB and a Master in Corporate Law from the University of South Africa. He also holds a Bachelor (Honours) Degree in Public Administration from the University of South Africa. He is specialized in corporate governance, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Compliance and corporate finance.
